Character
- Age: 17
- Occupation: high school student
- Relation to the victim: youngest son (bastard)
- Possible motive: Edwin had an affair, so even though he claimed him as his blood, and paid his mother every month, he was never really there, and didn’t perform any parental duties, despite the multiple attempts from Marcus to get close to his dad.
- Personality traits: very impulsive, aggressive, has anger issues and zero tolerance to frustration. Despite this, he is very smart, and knows how to manipulate people for his benefit, but only when he is calmed. He loses his nerves when angry.
- Mannerisms: always keeps his hands in his pockets, fidgeting with whatever (keys, coins, etc). He also passes his hands through his hair a lot, messing it up.
- Physical appearance: brown, short, wavy hair, always messed up. Slim and tall, walks hunched. Likes to wear baggy clothes (one of those brown leather jackets too).
- Hobbies: despite what everyone might think, he enjoys doing homework and studying, if only because the rush of being the best at every subject, sometimes even knowing more than the teachers, is addicting. He has done many activities throughout his life, mostly to try and impress his father, but he likes to do whatever challenging activity which can keep his mind active
- Suspicious behaviours: every time he was seen with his dad, they ended up fighting
- Health: healthy
- Speech: says too many things, and his initial message is not always clear, mostly because of the word plays (he likes being mysterious like that). Talks a lot, but never shares too much info, specially not about himself
- Other relationships: sister (Fionna) and brother (Fred)
Interview
Marcus does not know yet about Edwin’s death, so if a player asks a question using the word “victim” instead of “Edwin” for the first time
A: Wait… what victim?
When told about his death
A: My father is dead? Oh no 😭
Q: What’s your relationship with the victim?
A: He is my father…
Q: When was the last time you saw him?
A: I… I don’t know. I guess we don’t see each other much.
Q: What were you doing this evening?
A: I’ve been at swimming practice for hours.
Q: Is Edwin generally considered likeable?
A: I… don’t think so. He was a rough man, and treated others as if they were below him. At least that’s how he treats his family, for what I can tell. It’s not like I’ve seen hin much throughout my life anyway…
Q: Does Edwin have other children?
A: Yes, he has two children from a previous marriage.
If asked about how was Marcus born
A: My father had an affair with my mother.
Q: Do the other children know about you?
A: Yes, they do, although they don’t care.
If asked about who is older/younger
A: I am the youngest.
Q: What’s your relationship with them?
A: I’m not close to them.
Q: So what kind of relationship did you have with Edwin?
A: I don’t think he cared about me much. He just wanted to make sure I didn’t “tarnish his family name”.
Q: What do you mean by “tarnish his family name”?
A: Oh, he had a reputation to maintain. I couldn’t do anything that may end up on the press, bringing him down.
Q: Why is the press so interested in him?
A: He is a very powerful and rich man.
Q: He’s influencing politics?
A: I… I don’t really know. I try to not get myself involved into my father’s life.
Q: Do you disdain your father?
A: As I said, he had always wanted me to meet very high standards, but he didn’t care about me beyond that.
Q: What is the note in your locker about?
A: It’s a text message I must’ve received while I was at swimming practice. I think my phone cracked and now it shows it like that… I have no idea what it is about.
