Description
- Age: 52
- Occupation: none, she married young. Has been living off the divorce money
- Relation to the victim: ex wife
- Possible motive: as his first wife, she appears in the baron’s will. She needed more money and, even though she asked him, he denied her.
- Personality traits: she hides secrets because she likes having the upper hand in every situation (doesn’t always work). Also, very reserved but not as much as Edwin. When she was younger, she used to have a lot of dreams for herself but now she has accepted her situation and is more realistic. Loves her children but never knew how to show it to them
- Mannerisms: can’t keep her hands downs, she will either be touching her hair, or the many rings she wears. Whatever, as long as her hands are moving.
- Physical appearance: brown hair, hard eyes, already has noticeable winkles, medium height
- Hobbies: likes having tea or snacks with her Friends. Doesn’t like being alone
- Suspicious behaviours: she keeps secrets and is very gossipy
- Health: she has bile duct cancer, and she needed Edwin’s money for the treatment
- Speech: always talks in riddles, never straight forward. Will keep the truth without lying. Plays with words and one can never be entirely sure what she meant.
- Other relationships: two kids (Fionna and Frederick)
Interview
Q: What’s your relationship with the victim?
A: I used to be married to that bastard.
Q: When and why did you get divorced?
A: A while ago, I can’t really remember. All I know is that he preferred someone younger, you know, because they are easily manipulated.
Q: How often do you see him since the divorce?
A: We don’t see each other much, his presence is very unpleasant.
Q: When was the last time you saw him?
A: Unfortunately, I saw him this morning.
Q: Why did you see him this morning?
A: I needed something from him.
Q: What did you need?
A: Fine, I needed money. A lady should never be talking about finances with others!
Q: What time and place did you see him?
A: We met at a café early in the morning, around 7:30.
Q: Was there anyone else at the café that can confirm this?
A: No, it was just us.
Q: Did he give you the money?
A: He did not.
Q: How did him not giving you the money made you feel?
A: Who wouldn’t be upset when they don’t get money? Ha ha isn’t that funny.
Q: What time did you leave the cafe?
A: Well, we weren’t there for too long. Eight o’clock probably.
Q: Why did you need the money? / Did you get the money from somewhere else?
A: It’s a personal matter, none of your concern.
If player asks again about the money
A: I highly doubt this is relevant to the case. Edwin clearly didn’t care, so why should you?
Q: What were you doing this evening?
A: I was in the middle of a date, which you so rudely interrupted.
Q: Is your date still here? / Can I talk to them later?
A: No, he already left.
Q: Can you tell me more about Edwin’s relationship with his new wife?
A: I don’t know what kind of relationship those two have. But look at her! She clearly didn’t know where she was getting into.
Q: What was she getting into?
A: A marriage with that man! He slowly consumes you and shapes you until you become what he wants you to be.
Q: Would you marry him again?
A: If I had to answer quickly, I’d say no, because nothing is worth going through that hell again. But, really thinking about it, I got my two children out of that relationship, and they mean the world to me. I would do anything to have them with me again, even if that meant marrying that man.
When told about Edwin’s death
A: He died? That’s unfortunate. I bet it was a beautiful day then, without his presence in the world.
When asked what has killed him
A: Probably the weight of all the souls he destroyed was too much and crushed him.
Describe Edwin
A: He was a bully. He always liked ridiculing people and made them feel they were less than him. He had a strong superiority complex going on there. I really can’t say he was a nice person at all.
